Cyber approach

For intelligent Internet investments

At Cyber Generation, we firmly believe every Web project needs a structured approach in order to be successful. With such an approach it is possible to invest intelligently, i.e., in a solution that is perfectly aligned with your needs and expectations.

Our 10 years of experience has led to the creation of a three-phased methodology that we call our Cyber approach.

To ensure your Web project is an investment rather than an expense, each of these three phases must be fully executed.

To help grasp our basic concept, we have drawn an analogy using the construction of a retail store, considering that a Web site is much like a retail outlet or branch, only virtual.

PHASE 1: PLANNING

A good foundation to support future efforts

One of the first steps in constructing a retail outlet or branch is calling upon an architect to draw up plans. He or she will consider all of the important factors regarding the construction and the site layout. The same applies to a Web project. Everything must be planned. Neglecting to do so may end up costing you a significant amount of money, with little or no return. Of course you may have some results, but will they be what you expected?

Our strategic analysis begins by addressing the following factors:

  • The project's objectives;
  • The desired clientele, i.e., your targets;
  • Your main competitors and their positioning;
  • Our proposed solution;
  • The site’s marketing strategy;
  • Impacts of Web 2.0 and Web Social;
  • Performance indicators;
  • Your budget;
  • The schedule

Deliverables

A detailed document addressing all major elements of the project allows you to accurately plan and perhaps more importantly, avoid making costly mistakes. This document will allow you to begin Phase 2 of our Cyber approach, the development of a solution.

PHASE 2: DEVELOPMENT

This is the phase during which the retail outlet is actually built. During this phase, we will prepare your Web project on the basis of the strategic analysis.

PHASE 3: OPTIMIZATION

Your site is now online, and the time has come to promote, manage, and evaluate its performances.

Promotion
Once the retail outlet or branch is in place, an outdoor sign must be installed and advertising should be developed to draw in customers. The same applies to an online venture. You must promote your site so that those who are looking for you can find it.

Maintenance
In order for a store to be successful, you must manage it and offer customers excellent service. Again, the same applies to a Web initiative. You must ensure that your site is regularly updated and adequately meets the needs of visitors.

Evaluation
At the end of the month, you can assess your store’s performance (results) and make necessary adjustments. The same logic applies to a Web site. Results or performances must be evaluated based on the success factors established during the strategic analysis, after which necessary changes must be implemented.

We recommend working with one of our prepaid banks of hours during the optimization phase. These apply to all of our services. Here are a few examples:

  • Web site updates;
  • Writing and translation (also applicable during the development phase);
  • Programming of dynamic modules;
  • Data import or export;
  • Technical support;
  • Marketing advice;
  • Search engine optimization.
